Burnaby is one of the cities in Canadian province of British Columbia placed between 49°16′ N latitude and 122°58′ W longitude. Burnaby got its name from legislator, Freemason and explorer Robert Burnaby. Burnaby was initially incorporated as a town in 1892 and after hundred years of incorporation, it gained city status in 1992.
