Bandarawela is a town in Badulla District of Uva Province in Sri Lanka, located about 192 kms from the national capital Colombo. Bandarawela is placed between latitude 6°50′0″ in the north and longitude 80°59′0″ in the east and is positioned at a height of 1300 meters above the mean level of sea.

Bandarawela is one of the best tourist hubs of the country known for Dhowa Buddhist rock temple, Rawana Ella waterfall, Methodist church and Adisham bungalow.

Agriculture is the main income source of Bandarawela people and the district houses numerous private and government sectors tea plantations.
