Cameron is known for its extensive hill stations bound by Kelanthan in North, Perak in West and Pahang towards North West. Cameron is approx 90 kms away from Pahang and about 200 kms from Kualalampur. Cameron covers a total area of 712 sq kms and is known to be one of the major tourist destinations in Malaysia. Cameron coordinates with 4.5’ degree North Latitude and 101.4’ degree East Longitude.

 

Cameron History:

Cameron was founded in the year 1885 which consists of 3 districts namely Ringlet, Tanah Rata and Brinchang which are all located at an altitude of 4000 feet and above sea level. Cameron has many locals who are into service industry, entrepreneurs, businessmen, farm workers and rest and the main languages spoken by the residents are Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, Buddhism and English.

 

Places to visit in Cameron:

All Souls Church:

This church is situated in Brinchang and is also known as Church of England which was built in the year 1950. The church is one of the architecture wonders of Cameron and attracts many visitors all round the year.

 

Bala’s Holiday Chalet:

This is one of the oldest structures located in Cameron constructed in the year 1935 and is one of the most tourist attraction sites in this part of the country.

 

Cameron Golf Club:

This is one of the oldest golf courses located in Cameron. Initially started with 6 holed golf course in the year 1935, today it is one of the best golf grounds situated in Cameron having splendid facilities and amenities.

 

Fosters Lake House:

The Lake House is located atop a hill facing the Sultan Abu Baker Lake that is surrounded by lush dense jungles in its backdrop. The site attracts many visitors from all over the world.

 

Bertham Valley:

Bertam Valley is a beautiful scenic spot famous for cultivation of orchards, fruits and flowers that attracts many local as well as international visitors.

 

Brinchang:

Brinchang is the second largest town located in Cameron renowned for local market, orchards, nurseries, museums and golf courses.
