Ipoh is the capital city of Perak in Malaysia lying approx 200 kms north of Kualalampur having a total area of 643 sq kms situated at 72 feet above the sea level. Ipoh is one of the busiest cities of Malaysia known for good infrastructure, hospitals and health centers, cuisines and eminent personalities and celebrities. Ipoh coordinates with 4.36’ degree North Latitude and 101.4’ degree East Longitude.

 

Ipoh History:

The city of Ipoh was first founded in the year 1880 when it was a tiny village situated on the banks of river Kinta. But slowly by the beginning of 20th century many tin mining factories were set up that transformed Ipoh into one of the major industrial hubs in Malaysia. In the year 1941, Ipoh was captured by Japanese and in the year 1942, it became the capital of Perak.
