Lom is situated in the center of the Norway covering an area of 1,969 square kilometers (760 square miles) in Gudbrandsdal district in the Oppland County. Lom is major municipality in Oppland County and it was declared as municipality in the year 1838. History of Lom:

Lom is known for its long history and trade route was established in Lom from Sunnmore and Skjak and fish and salt was exported to various parts of the country. First church was constructed in the year 1158 and named as Lom Stave Church is one of the prominent churches in the country. In the year 1940, Germany bombed twice on Lom and destroyed the region but later it was re constructed.
