History of Jakarta:

Sundanses Kingdom of Pajajaram was the first kingdom established in 12^th century and the Portuguese were the first to arrive to Jakarta and but could not established them self in the region. In the year 1527, the region of Jakarta was captured by Price Fatahillah from Cirebon. Dutch established in the city and destroyed all the ports and other monuments in the city and constructed the planned city. In the year 1740, French occupied the Jakarta and due the understanding Dutch and French lived in harmony but in the year 1811 British defeated Dutch and French army and captured the city but after the Congress of Vienna, Indonesia was regained by the Dutch and flourished during 18^th century.
