History of Latur

During 753 to 973 A.D, Latur was under the rule of the Rashtrakuta reign. King Dantidurga was the first ruler of Latur. Many wars were fought between invading rulers of other kingdoms. But Latur remained under the reign of Rashtrakuta’s under the reign of the descendants of Rashtrakuta dynasty Latur thrived and prospered. The year 974 A.D., witnessed the fall of Rashtrakuta reign over Latur. Later the place ruled by many rulers of different dynasties until it fell into the hands of the British East India Company who administered Latur.

History of Lachung
