David is a city and the capital of Chiriqui province in Panama country, covers an area of 68 square miles (176 square kilometers) is situated at an elevation of -20 feet (-6 meters) above the sea level. David is the third largest urban city in the country and hub for all the commercial activities and number of universities is also located in the city. David is located at the distance of 445 kilometers from the capital of Panama, Panama City and coordinates of David are 8.433° N 82.433° W.

 

History of David:

Francisco de Gama discovered David in the year 1602 and divided into Spanish region, San Antonio de Padra and Nuestra Senora del Rosario. David was not recognized by the central government till the year 1726 and later in the year 1736 the city got the recognition from the colonial government. From the year 1916 several developments took place in the city.

Cervantes Park:

Los Pozos de Caldera is located at the distance of 40 kilometers from David in Boquete city is most renowned hot springs and for health giving properties.
