Cha Am is a district in Phetchaburi province in Thailand and located in the central part of Thailand. Cha Am was founded in the year 1897 and was identified as the Na Yang region and later in the year 1914, it was named as Nong Chok district but after the Second World War the government officially changed the name as Cha Am district. Cha Am is home of the Webster University, only American university in Thailand and it is renowned as the beach resort of Thailand.

Cha Am is bounded by Ban Lat District, Phetchaburi, Hua Hin District, Pran Buri District, Sam Roi Yot District, Kaeng Krachan District and Tha Yang District and it is situated at the distance of 163 Kms from the capital of Thailand, Bangkok and coordinates of Cha Am are 12.7997° N, 99.9669° E.
