History of Cardiff:

Cardiff is one of the oldest settlements in the country and during the rule of Romans they constructed numerous roads, buildings and colonies in the region. After the fall of Romans in the region it was captured by Norman and William I, King of England in 1081, reconstructed the castle and Owain Glyandwr, destroyed the region in 1404 and captured the castle and in the year 1536, Cardiff was made the county town. Dock was built in 1793 and the town developed rapidly from the 1830s and various industries and trading units were established in the city.
