Moerdijk is a municipality as well as town situated in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands, around 55 km west of the provincial capital,’s-Hertogenbosch and 105 km north of the national capital, Amsterdam. Zevenbergen is the largest town of Moerdijk municipality in terms of population.

Moerdijk coordinates with 51°42′ N latitude and 04°38′ E longitude spanning over an area of 183.99 sq. km. Moerdijk is surrounded by the town of Drimmelen to the east, Goeree-Overflakkee towards west, Halderberge to the south and Cromstrijen towards north.

 

History of Moerdijk:

In 1997, the municipality of Moerdijk was founded with name Zevenbergen and later its name was changed to Moerdijk in the year 1998.
