Hrazdan is the capital city of Kotayk province, Armenia. The title Hrazdan was gained from the Middle-Persian term Frazdan. It is positioned in the north east section of Armenia. Alexander Tamanyan in the middle of 19th century laid the groundwork of the township. Due to the rapid commercialization of the Hrazdan city, it was declared as the capital to Kotayk province in the year 1995. It is margined by Pambak peaks towards the north, Tsakhkunyats peaks towards west-south and Geghama peaks towards the east.

Hrazdan Branch of State Gallery

Hrazdan Branch of State Gallery was recognized in the year 1973. It is a home to frescos created by Anatoly Grigoryan, Hakob Kojoyan, Martiros Saryan, Hovhannes Ayvazovsky etc. It also is the seat to the statuettes by Ara Sargsyan and others.

Hrazdan Geo Science Museum

Hrazdan Geo Science Museum was recognized in the year 1980. The chief aim of this museum is to showcase the historic events that occurred in the city of Hrazdan. It is divided into four sections: Archaeology, Ethnography, Modern Times and Temporary Exhibitions.

History Museum

History Museum which was recognized by Armen Ayvazyan encompasses more than 18000 sculpts that dates back to 2nd and 3rd century BC.

Saint Karapet Church

Saint Karapet Church which is positioned in Jrarat is a three sided central approach minster. It is alleged that during the reign of Soviet Union this place used to be granary which diminished with time. It was constructed in the 16th century and renovated in 19th century with the help of the remnants that was left behind.
