Wakayama is a coastal city located in Kansai on the islands of Honshu covering a total area of 210.25 sq kms is one of the major tourist hubs in Japan. Wakayama History:

Earlier Wakayama was under the rule of Edo Period where Emperor Kishu Tokugawa built a castle during this point of time.
