Nubra is a tri-armed valley situated in Leh District in the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir towards the northeast of famous Ladakh valley and about 150 km away from Leh Town. Nubra Valley is positioned about 3048 meters from the mean level of sea. The best way to reach Nubra Valley is via the Leh Town. Tourists must have an inner line permit to enter Nubra Valley.

Shyok River divides Ladakh and Karakoram ranges by meeting with Nubra River. The surrounding regions of Nubra Valley are well suitable to grow agricultural crops like wheat, barley, peas, mustard, fruits and nuts.
