Bost History:

Bost also called as Lashkar Gah in Persian language means “army barracks” which dates back to 1000 years ago that was part of Saffarids in 9th century. Bost was under rule of Saffarid dynasty in 16th century and became a part of Hotaki Empire in the year 1709. Bost was attacked by Afsharid forces in 1738 and in the year 1747 was ruled by rulers of Durrani Empire. Bost was ruled by the British in 1840 and it was ruled by successor Ayub Khan during the Second Anglo-Afghan War.
