Espoo is the 2nd largest city and municipality in Finland situated in the Uusimaa region, around 20 km northwest of the country capital, Helsinki. Geography of Espoo:

Lying approximately between latitude 60°12′20″ in the north and longitude 024°39′20″ in the east, Espoo is spread over a total area of 528.14 sq. km. Espoo is bordered by the municipality of Espoo in the east, Nurmijarvi towards north and on the west by the Kirkkonummi municipality. Espoo is home to Nuuksio National Park.

The history of Espoo dates back to around 9,000 years ago when the first settler of Espoo was found. Espoo changed its status from a rural municipality into an upgraded city with the establishments of many industries during the 1940s and 50s.
