Calvia is situated in the southwest part of Majorca Island in Spain and Majorca Island is the part of Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. History of Calvia:

Calvia is one of the oldest settlements in Spain and people settled in the region around 2000 years BCE and later the region was settled by Italy and other traders from Mediterranean Islands. Romans established their colony in 123 BCE and ruled until 4th century CE and in 425, Vandals occupied Calvia and after the fall of Vandals, Byzantine invaded the Island and ruled for several eras. During the middle ages various monuments and buildings were built in Calvia and in 1248, parish church was established in the region. Calvia was the agriculture region from the 13th century until 20th century but after 20th century the Island turned into a major tourism hub in Spain.
