Sapotra is situated in Karauli district in Sapotra Mandal is approx 32 kms from main town of Karauli and 117 kms away from Jaipur city. Sapotra is bound by Gujjupura, Bookana, Bajna, Amargarh, Choragaon and Karauli villages. Karauli:

Karauli is one of the sacred and holy places known for temples and pilgrimage centers situated 150 kms away from Jaipur. The city was established in the year 1348 A.D. and formerly known as Kalyanpuri. The place is known for the presence of red stones and historical monuments.
