Putrajaya is one of the cities located about 25 kms away from Kualalumpur having a total area of 49 sq kms and named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rehman Putra. Putrajaya is renowned for schools, colleges, universities, efficient modes of transport system, well drainage systems, better civic amenities and hospitals. Lying on the Multimedia Super Corridor, Putrajaya is fast emerging as one of the fastest growing cities in Malaysia and geographically coordinates with 2.94’ degree North Latitude and 101.69’ degree East Longitude.

 

Putrajaya History & Meaning:

The name Putrajaya is taken from Sanskrit word “Putra” meaning Child and “Jaya” meaning victory. Formerly called as Prang Besar, Putrajaya original land space was merely 3.2 sq kms which later expanded to 32 sq kms. More importance was reserved for greenery in Putrajaya as many plans and constructions were given top priority for this city.
