Cork is situated in the South West region in Ireland in the province of Munster and second largest city in the state. Cork covers an area of 37.3 square miles (14.4 square miles) and River Lee passes through the city and the city is known for its retail business and industrial city in south of Ireland.

History of Cork:

Cork was established by Saint Finbarr in the 6th century is one of the major trading centers and developed rapidly. Prince John constructed the wall around the city in 1185 and some wall parts and gates can be seen today as well. In the year 1349, the region suffered from deadly disease due to which nearly half of the population died and the town played major role in the English Wars of the Roses.
