Santiago de Cuba is the capital city of Santiago de Cuba province in Cuba. History of Santiago de Cuba:

In the year 1514, the city of Santiago de Cuba was established by Spanish but the colony was destroyed by fire but later renovated. The first cathedral in the region was constructed in the year 1528 and remained as the capital of Spanish until the year 1589. The French established their settlement during 18th and 19th century in the country, during the war between the Spanish and America, the Spanish were defeated and the country was claimed by Americans.
