History of Virginia:

Virginia was inhabited by indigenous tribes around 12,000 years ago and many Europeans expeditions explored the region. In the year 1583, Queen of England, Elizabeth I granted part of the territory to the Spanish Florida to establish the colony. During the American Revolutionary War, George Washington moved the capital to Richmond to defend from the British attack.
