Diani Beach is a popular beach and one of the top tourist attractions of Kenya, situated on the Indian Ocean coastline of the country, around 30 km southwest of the city of Mombasa and 510 km southeast of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Shimba Hills National Reserve:

Situated around 30 km west of Diani Beach, the Shimba Hills National Reserve features a mix of grassland, woodland and rainforest. It is rich in vegetation, housing around 50% rare plants of total of 159 in Kenya. Apart from 700 elephants, the park is also home to colorful birds and butterflies in the total area of 192.51 sq. km. It was established in 1968.

 

Mwachema River:

The Mwachema River flows into the Indian Ocean at Diani Beach and also there is a Moorish style Indian Ocean Beach Club hotel lying at the gateway of the river.

 

Hindu Temples in Mombasa:

Mombasa is one of the largest cities of Kenya, situated around 30 km away from Diani Beach.
