The town is located at an altitude of 306 meters, between 10°52′04″ N latitude and 0°12′13″ E longitude. Dapaong is situated near Togo’s border with Burkina Faso, around 635 km north of Lome, the capital and largest city of Togo.  Dapaong is mainly noted as a market town and also houses many cultural tourist attractions, including a museum showcasing the city’s and region’s culture and history. The Fosse aux Lions National Park is located around 20 km south of Dapaong.</p>

<p>Like most parts of the country, Dapaong is served by the Lomé-Tokoin Airport, the only operating international airport in Togo.
