<p>Gibraltar was inhabited between 128,000 and 24,000 BC by Neanderthal in Gorham’s Cave and later Greeks and Romans established the settlement in the region and after the fall of Romans, the country was ruled by Vandals. Almohad Sultan Abd al-Mu’min ordered to construct the fort in the year 1160 and after the completion of the fort he stayed for 2 months. King Henry IV of Castile captured the region and after six years it was invaded by the Duke of Medina Sidonia. After the American War of Independence, Gibraltar became the base for the British Royal Navy and played major role during Battle of Trafalga and during the World War II the country was evacuated to various countries in Europe.</p>
