History of Tashkent

In seventh century Tashkent was ruled by the Sassanian Persian Empire before the Arabs invaded. In the 10th century Kara-Khanid rule was established. The year 1219, saw the invasion of Genghis Khan in Tashkent. Tashkent was captured in the year 1809 by Khanate of Kokand. Between the year, 1920 to 1930, Tashkent came under the Soviet rule. Tashkent witnessed the rise of many establishments. Airport, rail links and roadways was developed under the soviet rule.
