Dapaong, also spelled Dapango or Dapaongo, is a city and the administrative centre of both the prefecture of Tône and the Savanes Region in Togo. The town is located at an altitude of 306 meters, between 10°52′04″ N latitude and 0°12′13″ E longitude. Dapaong is situated near Togo’s border with Burkina Faso, around 635 km north of Lome, the capital and largest city of Togo.  Dapaong is mainly noted as a market town and also houses many cultural tourist attractions, including a museum showcasing the city’s and region’s culture and history. The Fosse aux Lions National Park is located around 20 km south of Dapaong.

 

Travelling Dapaong:

Like most parts of the country, Dapaong is served by the Lomé-Tokoin Airport, the only operating international airport in Togo. This airport is located at a distance of 620 km from Dapaong and receives flights from Casablanca, Brussels, Cotonou, Ouagadougou, Paris, Monrovia, N’Djamena, Niamey and Ouagadougou.

There are a less number of regular buses plying between Dapaong and Lome. So if visitors hire a rental car at Lome Airport that would be helpful for airport and intercity travels.

Bassar is served by the Niamtougou International Airport, located around 105 km northeast of Bassar. This airport is catered by few  scheduled flights, but it can be reached by charter flights from Lomé–Tokoin Airport during high season. Lomé–Tokoin Airport, the most important airport of Togo, is situated around 400 km south of Bassar.

Badou is a town situated in the Plateaux Region in the western part of the western African country, Togo, near the border of Ghana. Located between 7°35′ N latitude and 0°36′ E longitude, Badou is situated around 70 km west of the regional capital, Atakpame and 230 km northwest of Lome, the capital and largest city of Togo. Badou is well known for cocoa- and coffee-farming and also renowned for the natural beauty Akloa Falls.

Plateaux Region is one of the five regions of Togo, bordered by Maritime Region to the south, Centrale Region to the north, Volta Region of Ghana to the west and in the east by three Benin’s departments.

 

How to reach Badou?

Badou is situated around 230 km northwest from its nearest airport, Lomé-Tokoin Airport. This is the only international airport in Togo and operates flights from many other African and European cities like Brussels, Cotonou, Ouagadougou, Paris, Monrovia, N’Djamena, Niamey, Ouagadougou, Accra and Casablanca.
