As per records, Atbasar was established in the year 1824 and fortress was built over a hill named, Kokshetau. History of Arkalyk:

The place Arkalyk came live with the findings of various mineral deposits in most parts of the region by geologists and investors in the year 1956. In the 1960, Arkalyk was under the Soviet control. People from neighboring region settled in Arkalyk. Arkalyk was first declared a city and later it formed the center of Torghay area in the year 1971. The year 1980, saw various industrial establishment open up in the region apart from mining companies. The region’s economy started booming. However its economic situation was not as best when compared with the other regions. The fact was that majority of the areas in Arkalyk was used for farming. To tackle with this issue, the region was divided and merged with Aqmola and Kostanai region. However the situation did not improve. History of Almaty:

According to Archeologists, civilization began 1000 to 900 B.C in and around the region Almaty. The region was occupied by cattle rears and farmers, as time passed it further developed into a place for learning. From the 8th to 14th century trade flourished and economy boomed in and around Almaty. Trade and commercial activities had an adverse effect in the region of Almaty between the 15th and 18th century. During this period the Kazakh people drove the Dzungar out of the region. This was the turning point before the invasion of Russia in 1854. After the construction of the fort Verniy in the year 1854, close to the mountain, Zailiysky Alatau, the place witnessed the influx of people especially peasants from Russia settling in and around the region. The Fort Verniy was declared a town in the year 1867.

The Soviets took control of Verniy merging the entire region with Turkestan in the year 1918. Alma-Ata was for the first time in history, made the capital of Kazak ASSR which was formerly Kyzylorda. History of Aktobe:

The Aktobe region, over time, bared witness to the rise and fall of various Empires and Cultures that once existed.
